Prescriptions

The information on this page refers only to repeat medication.

Your medication will be reviewed on an annual basis. Some medicines are potentially quite harmful and require monitoring on a more frequent basis.

You will be reminded to contact the surgery before your medication expires so as to review and re authorise your medicines for a further time period. This can be by nurse or doctors appointment

Ordering your prescription

Prescriptions can be ordered in a number of ways.

1) Dropping a prescription advice slip off at either surgery
2) Ordering a prescription using the On-line service. This is a secure site protected by your personal user name and password. For details on how to access the On-line service, please ask at reception. For more details, see below.
Please note: We are unable to take requests over the telephone because of patient safety issues.

Collecting your prescription

Please state how you wish for your prescription to be collected. You have a choice of collection at the reception desk or delivery to a local pharmacy.

Kegworth patients

Gotham patients

Gotham surgery is a prescription dispensing surgery for those patients living in Gotham, Thrumpton and Barton-in-Fabis. We are unable to offer this service for patients living in East Leake

On line ordering of prescriptions using the web site

Access the online prescription web page by either clicking on the image at the top of this page or alternatively clicking here





In order to be able to access and order your online prescriptions, you will need to register at the Reception desk at which ever Surgery you attend. The Receptionist will be able to give you your User Name and Password. In order to protect confidentiality, we may ask that you prove your identity.

You may only ask for medicines that are displayed. If the medication you wish is not shown, you will need to speak to Reception. This is because periodically your medication will need to be reviewed for safety reasons.

KEGWORTH PATIENTS Specify if you wish to collect your prescription from the desk or have it delivered to either Boots or Evans Pharmacy by stating this in the online "comments box".

GOTHAM Patients Specify if you wish to collect your prescription from the desk or have it delivered to Evans Pharmacy by stating this in the online"comments box".

 

Free Prescriptions

You MAY be entitled to free prescriptions if you suffer from certain conditions or are on a low income. Ask your doctor or pharmacist and read the NHS leaflet NHS prescriptions.

If you cannot get free prescriptions you may still be able to save money buy buying a pre payment certificate which is like a season ticket for either 4 or 12 months worth of prescriptions. We keep a small supply of the leaflets and forms. Please ask at reception or ring 0845 8500030 to buy one over the phone using your credit or debit card.
